Maceas GmbH is a joint venture of the Worthmann Maschinenbau GMBH in Barßel, Germany, and the Prosensys GmbH – a Fraunhofer Institut spin-off in Bexbach, Germany. The six letters of its name represent Machine Building, Applications in Ultrasound, Computer Aided Measuring Systems, and Electric and Acoustic Sensor Technology. So MACEAS combines machine building and measurement technology.
